This position is eligible for a weekend differential of $1.50 per hour for any hours worked from Friday at 5:00 PM through Sunday at midnight.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will create an enjoyable dining experience for residents, staff, and visitors. This candidate will be responsible for seating residents and their guests in the dining venues and handling situations as they arise per current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

  • Assists in creating an enjoyable dining experience for residents and their guests.
  • Seats residents and guests in the dining venues and at special functions.
  • Oversees the activities of waitstaff personnel in the dining venues to ensure proper service and sanitation procedures are followed.
  • Supervise the closing of the dining venues and check the waitstaff to ensure their side work and station set-ups are completed correctly.
  • Helps set and reset dining venues as needed.
  • Assists in dining venues during lunch as needed.
  • Assists with special functions, including set up and breakdown as needed.
  • Promotes a clean, safe, neat environment for residents, self, and other staff.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years of high school is required. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Takes oral and written instruction well.
  • Able to write legibly.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate communication skills with individuals of all ages, especially the senior population.
