We are seeking compassionate and qualified Medication Assistants to join our overnight team. As a Medication Nursing Assistant, you will collaborate closely with the nursing staff to provide quality care and assist RiverMead residents in administering their medications. Your responsibilities will include accurately preparing and dispensing medications, documenting patient information, and ensuring patient safety. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

**MNA Shift Differentials:**
- 3rd Shift: $2.50 per hour
- Weekends: $1.50 per hour (Friday 5 PM - Sunday midnight)
**Responsibilities:**
- Provide personal care services.
- Assist in administering medications to stable patients as ordered by a licensed practitioner, under their direction, in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and established nursing policies and procedures.
- Administer PRN medications after evaluation and approval by a licensed nurse.
- Follow RiverMead procedures, allowing residents to self-administer medications, and assist licensed nurses in monitoring and documenting all aspects of such self-administration. Promptly notify licensed nurses of any resident who fails to take their self-administered medication properly.
- Complete administrative tasks, including forms, reports, and charts, and submit them promptly.
- Participate in developing and implementing resident care plans in collaboration with nurses, other departments, residents, and their families. Consult with RN/LPN on nursing issues and problem interpretation to ensure resident needs are met.
Recognize emergencies and implement appropriate emergency procedures as needed.
**Qualifications:**
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of experience; experience in long-term care is preferred.
- Completed nursing assistant and medication nursing assistant courses that meet federal/state requirements.
- Licensed as a Nursing Assistant and Medication Nursing Assistant by the State of New Hampshire.
- CPR certification required.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and compose short correspondence and notes.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic math computation skills.
- Must be self-directed, dependable, and a team player with a can-do attitude.
